SAM CAVALCANTI

Sam Cavalcanti is a Brazilian multihyphenate artist based in Los Angeles, CA. They graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California, where they studied theatre and film.
 
Their writing has been featured in publications such as RAIN TAXI (Issue #117), HOBART, SILLY GOOSE PRESS, SMBGC BLOG, the GLAAD BLOG, and ANNENBERG MEDIA. 

Their screenplay "Lavender Lights" was a semi-finalist in the Diverso Minority Report and the 2019 Scriptation Showcase , a finalist in the 2019 Screenplay Festival, and a Top 5 Screenplay in the Berlin Lift-Off Film Festival 2020.
Their short screenplay "Pieces of Us" was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Scriptation Showcase , and later became a short that Sam directed and produced.

They served as Associate Producer for Pizza Party and as a voice actor in the official English dub of the HBO Max series The Missing, as well as in the videogames Beasts of Maravilla Island, Lucidus Mortem, and Meister High. They have also narrated multiple short stories for Khoreo Mag.

They performed this summer in URTV: Passion Mansion at the Hollywood Fringe. Catch them live this autumn in Last Call Theatre's immersive show The Butterfly Effect. 

They are currently represented by Paloma Model & Talent for Commercial, Theatrical, and Print.
